{"id":461,"date":"2011-03-14T00:33:00","date_gmt":"2011-03-14T00:33:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/baulkolites.com\/wp\/?p=461"},"modified":"2011-03-14T00:33:00","modified_gmt":"2011-03-14T00:33:00","slug":"falling-icicles","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/mynoellights.com\/blog\/?p=461","title":{"rendered":"Falling Icicles"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Falling Icicles made their debut in my area 2009.\u00a0 Initially they were hideously expensive and hard to find.\u00a0 But secretly I always knew I would get some.<\/p>\n<p>Then least year Big-W\u00a0 \/ K Mart started sell small falling Icicles\u00a0 sets ( 300mm long light bars) that that ran independently of each other.\u00a0 closer inspection revealed some kind of controller at the top of the PCB. Unfortunately I didn&#8217;t have the time nor money to purchase a number of the ready made units.<\/p>\n<h2>Falling Icicles <em>BaukoLites Style<\/em><\/h2>\n<p>I hacked together a design that will allow considerable flexibility.\u00a0 The general concept is to create a small DMX based 16ch Controller that uses LED Constant Current drivers.\u00a0 The Controller will be mounted at the top of the Icicles.\u00a0\u00a0 The LEDS will NOT be PCB mounted, but rather will be wired to suspend inside\u00a0 1\/2&#8243;
